Prom

So last night was my Senior prom, my first and last high school, and in the end, I was happy that I went. And since I have nothing better to do, I start from the very beginning. I woke up around 10 and eagerly shaved my legs for an hour. Don't want to brag, but damnn my legs were really smooth hah. Then I changed into sweats and a shirt and went over to Jeannie's house for a bit before picking up Jenna. We got our nails down and chatted for a bit. My legs got really red while i was getting my toes done cause I had to soak my legs in boiling water. Yeeeah. The lady who did my toes was really nice. I was apologizing to her for my crooked fourth toe and she giggled and told me about her crooked fifth toe. We totally bonded after that.

Afterwards, we went over to this other salon where we had another appointment and went to get our makeup done. Jenna's makeup was really pretty and err...I wasn't too fond of mine so I took a lot of it off. Oh well, it was a cool experience. After that we dropped Jenna off at her house and went over to Jeannie's house to get ready to go to Kevin's. So we're at Jeannie's and I totally forget that I forgot to bring my dress (of all things) and so I had to rush over to my house really quick to pick that up.

Kevin's little pre-prom party was really fun. The majority of the time was spent taking pictures of ourselves and complimenting each other on our dresses/suits. So after taking 954698 pictures, we sat down, had dinner, and then proceeded to take more lovely pictures in front of the limo and then at the beach.

From the beach, we then went back in the limo and drove off to Mission Viejo where the dance was being held. Basically, everything there was beautiful. The flowers. The bar. The table setting/ centerpieces. Everything. Our group first went over to take a group picture with the photographer. Then I went to say hi to people and went over to the dance floor. The people at the dance floor were a lovely sight to see. Bascially, every dance move that was on our list (of what we could get kicked out for) could be seen.

Once the dance was over, our group left the resort and waited for our limo. I was pretty exhausted by then. The limo took us back to Kevin's house where we snacked on choc covered strawberries and popcorn while the others stripped down to their swimsuits/boardshorts and got in the jacuzzi. Jenna, Logan, and I opted to chill by the firepit and chat about body hair.

After a hour or so, the others came out of the jacuzzi and we all gathered around the fire and gossiped/talk about random/dirty stuff. Dirty stuff...jenna's favorite. And so I learned that night that guys will "do" me because apparently, I'm kinky and am willing to do crazy stuff in bed....weird, but i guess flattering.. hah. The late night talk was so relaxing and the fire made my legs glow....god my legs were soft that night :)

UCSB Open House

So I figured that I should write about the Open House since I have nothing better to do.

We left from Jeannie's house around 9:15 with Jeannie, of course, me, my uncle, my aunt and their 9 month old daughter Kaitlin. As we got to Beach Blvd, we had to made a little stop on the side of the road after Kaitlin began crying incessantly. The car ride to the campus was really relaxing. Thank god there wasn't any traffic. I don't remember much, but I do remember having to pass miles and miles of strawberry fields....and state beaches of course.

After approximately 2.5 hours, we managed to arrive on campus and look for parking.

K, the rest are just gonna be random pictures with little commentaries by them :) I'm getting lazy.

Bikes: They're EVERYWHERE. Not even joking. Wow. I've made up my mind that I'm gonna conform and buy a bike for next year. Before going to the open house, I had mixed thoughts about bringing a car and paying for a permit/any other fees, but according to one of our tour guides, bikers have the right of way at UCSB. That means, if you're in your car, you're at a green light and it's your right of way to turn, you must wait for ALL the bikers to safely cross the street first...even if there's one lagging behind...they will NOT wait for you. So.....screw that, I'll buy a bike.

And maybe a neon green one so it won't take me 4589 hours to figure out where I've locked it.

hee It really is a beautiful campus. With a pretty lagoon near the University Center/Bookstore.

After my uncle and aunt dropped us off at the campus (they went off to find somewhere to eat and to drive around the neighborhoods near the campus and the beach), Jeannie and I decided to check out some of the dorms. We had enough time to look at the Manzanita, Anacapa, and San Rafael dorms. The Manzanita dorms were by far my favvvv. I felt weird taking pictures of people's dormrooms while they were inside it, so I let Jeannie do it. (i'll post her pictures once i get them). So I'll just post whatever random pictures I happened to take.

Anacapa laundry room. Every floor (approx 54 students) shares it.

Pretty self-explanatory. San Rafael: probably the only one of the 5 resident halls that LOOKS pretty from the outside.

Anacapa bathroom. Each floor shares one and there's only one bathtub in the whole bathroom. heeee.

Anacapa lounge. Pretty much looks like all the other lounges in the other residence halls. I believe it also had a TV (not pictured.....hah that's a VM eppy)

BTW. UCSB overall, reminds me of Dick Casablancas. idk why. it just does.

The Francisco Torres. Ah it's so gorgeous. I seriously thought it was a Hilton or some sort of hotel/resort. But thankfully, Jeannie remembered seeing a picture of it from the internet. I believe it's the only all-freshmen dorms. That explains the 835908395835908305 bikes locked out outside it.

Jeannie has like 358935 more pictures so I'll just end my post with the 'not-so-innocent' side of UCSB. Luckily, the campus itself is relatively peaceful and quiet. However, a few blocks away from the campus, nearer to the beach is where the partiers gather. HEEEEE.

OHHH another thing. I wanted to see what the typical conversation of the UCSBers were so we listened to what random people passing by us were talking about. Here are a couple:

Girl to Friend: You're all up in my grill!....and in between in my legs *giggles with friends*

Guy on Phone: When I went to see him, he was all drugged up. He was like "Ahhhgggg!!!"

K so I guess I'll post an LJ entry....

I'll start with my
Current tv obsession: The Wedding Bells. Ah probably the only show on FOX that I can stand watching, besides the occasional AI. Plus, Michael is LOVE.

K, it's pretty sad but I spent the last couple days watching the Beauty and the Geek season 2 marathon on MTV (yes, from beginning to end) and then went on the FOX myspace and sat in front of my computer watching all the episodes they had posted up of The Wedding Bells (which i LOVE). Oddly enough, I've actually enjoyed this spring break the most since I didnt have to go to Bakersfield, hah. And nothing beats gossiping and watching kiddie cartoon movies with Sarah.
